Car upholstery and interior restoration is our most requested service. Every job is built by hand - no conveyor belt, no rushed work, no "junior apprentice" stitching. Hand-crafted with heart, our workshop.

You can order anything from a full interior re-trim to a single part - steering wheel, gear knob, armrest or door card. Many clients start with a small job (e.g. steering wheel re-trim) and bring the rest of the car back once they've seen the quality first-hand.

Car upholstery services you can order:

• Full seat leather re-trim - front and rear seats, headrests, side bolsters. Real leather or quality synthetic leather depending on budget.
• Seat repair and spot work - worn side bolsters, torn stitching, collapsed foam. Often the full interior isn't needed; one seat or one bolster is enough.
• Door card restoration - re-trim with new leather or fabric, smoothing of warped or creased surfaces, repair of damaged sections.
• Dashboard leather wrap - leather wrapping of the dashboard, centre console and torpedo trim. Particularly popular on classic and sports cars.
• Steering wheel re-trim - replace an old wheel with a hand-stitched new one. Colour, thread tone and pattern of your choice. Fits almost any wheel model.
• Gear knob and armrests - quick and affordable jobs that noticeably refresh the interior.
• Headliner (foam fabric) replacement - we replace headliner and pillar trim on all car models. A classic problem when the original starts to sag with age.
• Custom car interiors - entirely new ideas to order: contrast stitching, perforation, brand logos, coloured inserts. Suitable for rally cars, sports cars and personal projects.
• Classic car interior restoration - for Soviet-era cars, vintage Mercedes (W123, W124, W126), Volvo (240, 740, 940), BMW (E30, E34, E36), Audi (80, 100), Saab and VW, we preserve the original style.

We provide a 2-year warranty on car leather work: stitching, fastenings and material durability in normal use. If something goes wrong inside the warranty period, we fix it for free. The warranty doesn't cover natural wear (UV in sun over years), damage from improper care (e.g. aggressive cleaning products) or defects in customer-supplied material.

How the work runs - 5 steps

Every car upholstery job follows the same clear path. You always know where things stand.

1. Contact. Call +372 504 9764, email info@nahkur.com or fill in the form on the homepage. Tell us the car model and the job. Send a few photos if helpful.
2. Inspection + quote. Book a time to bring the car to the workshop. We assess condition together, pick materials, agree exact scope. You receive a written quote, valid for 14 days.
3. Material selection and deposit. Choose colour, stitch tone and exact materials. For material-heavy jobs we ask a 30–50% deposit to source materials.
4. The work. The car stays at our workshop. A typical full leather re-trim takes 2–4 weeks. We keep you posted with photos at key milestones.
5. Handover + warranty. The car is ready. We hand it over, show what to care for (leather conditioner 2–3 times a year) and confirm the 2-year warranty on stitching and fastenings.

Materials: real leather, synthetic leather or fabric?

There are three main material groups for a car interior, each with its own pros and cons.

Real leather

Longest service life (up to 20 years properly maintained), best feel in hand, breathes better than synthetic, ages beautifully (patina). More expensive, needs regular care (leather conditioner). Synthetic leather (PU or PVC)

Significantly cheaper than real leather, better wear resistance in several dimensions (no fear of kids' sweets, dog claws, juice spills), easier to clean. Service life 5–10 years. Suited to family cars, heavy-use vehicles, daily drivers. Modern synthetic looks high-quality - only an expert can tell.

Fabric (including microfibre)

Traditional choice for sports cars and coupés - especially microfibre (Alcantara-like). Most breathable, non-slip, suited to rally cars. Needs regular vacuum cleaning. Price depends on quality - cheap fabric wears fast, quality fabric lasts years.

We serve clients across all of Estonia - bringing the car is the client's responsibility (Tallinn to Võru ~3 h, Tartu ~1 h, Pärnu ~3.5 h). For large projects we can arrange a transport partner.
